no disrespect to anyone here.

no need to take it personal... it's just business... i made the seller an offer and he took it..

There was a valid offer for consideration and acceptance. That's all it takes to form a contract. There was no looser or winner this is how the system works. The whinners need to give it a rest and learn something about the process. Juanfan19 got off his butt and did something about cards he wanted. Give him his due respect for out playing you. You have my admiration for a great play! Just my two cents worth.

If you want something on eBay, I would say you can get it for cheaper than you expect it to end at about 15-25% of the time. All you have to do is ask the seller.

I'm not posting this message to judge anybody. I just want to remind everybody the facts. To end an auction early, with the purpose of deal with a community member outside of ebay, it's ilegal. It's on ebays policy.

freddie 04-14-2010 02:48 AM

It's not illegal, it is just against eBay policy. At worst you would get your account closed.

If it looks like fish, smell like fish and it taste like fish...It is fish.

You will not be arrested for making on offer through eBay messages == not illegal.

Interesting, do you know that if you get cought stilling in some dpt. stores but the amount in merchandise don't exceed $100.00 you won't be arrested or prosecute. So according to you, since the person is not arrested, that means the crime performed is not ilegal??? It is ilegal according to the law, that's stealing eventhough you'r not arrested. Anyway, my point is if someone violate some policy that's kind of wrong.

I think you are both right.

Yes, Roberto, it is wrong and against eBay policy.

Yes, Freddie, you will not get arrested or prosecuted for negotiating an auction to end erly.

Leave it at that.

freddie 04-15-2010 03:31 PM

I never said it was "right", just pointing out that it is not illegal.
