Ebay auctions

Everyone seems to want that 2004 Donruss Power Alley Yellow card ( 170125245603 ). It's well over book and it's a 1 of 100 of em. But I guess it tells you when there is a want there is no boundiers. Just when I think it's safe to add years to my collections, things go crazy!

I thought the 93 Finest Refractor would go super cheat as far as it was off center but again, I was wrong:confused:.

And do you remember that '97 Totally Certified Platinum Gold a few weeks back that went for $120? That's another card where the BV is waaaaay low.

Jonas, I'm glad you started this thread. I've been thinking about starting another "auctions of interest" thread since it looks like brugvu ruined that last one.

Anybody else see this one?

That's really cool, but he rejected my offer of $150 immediately, so it looks like he's serious about that asking price.:(

jjt111 06-26-2007 04:06 AM

I would of missed it completely! No mention of Juan in the description and there are too many Gonzalez's for me to do searches that way.
He'll never get more then maybe 200 for it. Who would pay that for a 1/1? I wouldn't pay 300 in todays market for a Juan' auto Ted card so I certainly don't consider a 1/1 made 10 years later to be worth more then one of those cards.

What year is that from??? I couldn't find it on the list. Very cool item, but not worth $400. Do you know how many cards I could buy with $400???

I think it's listed under "2002 Absolute Memorabilia Game-Used Bonus."

I added the pic.

jjt111 06-26-2007 04:43 PM

The seller listed it under 2003 but I agree that 2002 is where it belongs.
Still can't get over how poorly that is listed for that nice of a card. I'm gathering that it is bigger then the normal 5 x 7 card and could even be bigger then 7 x 11.

jjt111 06-26-2007 08:18 PM

Will the Babe card hit $40,000??

jjt111 07-17-2007 01:23 PM

I told this joker that he has a 1994 card listed which is far less valueable then the 93 he states and he said he was aware, yet never made a correction statement in the auction. Guess I was wasteing my time.

If you haven't seen this one yet, check it out. It is a card you are likely to rarely, if ever, see again.

I have hoped to see this anytime I want. But I have losted cards in the past, so hard telling!

jjt111 07-17-2007 02:30 PM

Always wondered how many 98 Topps Tek Defractors were made. You don't see many of them for sale even though there are 90 different ones for Juan and atleast a couple of each had to be made. 93 Finest Refractors are sold all most weekly and they had a count of what 261, I think.

jjt111 07-17-2007 02:50 PM

Now I'm just starting to get into the newer year cards and I have a question. There are 2 2004 SP game used significant card listed on Ebay that are different and also different then what Mike has posted on the site. I understand the KC / Texas thing but is every card different in some way?

Yes, They actually have different designs (KC/Tx).

jjt111 07-17-2007 05:02 PM

Every card? Wow, that makes it tough. Both of the ones on ebay are from Texas but Juan is in different possition. The one in the collection list is totally different.

Dang,

It is also very possible that I am wrong. I have a hard time telling the difference a lot of time on the newer stuff.

jjt111 07-18-2007 11:47 PM

Mike,

I believe the picture on his card should be moved down a couple to the double patch card. It is a 25 print run card and the single is a 50 print run.

The sweet spot signature card that ends today is a real nice card. It's too thick for my books and must be shelved or shoe boxed:). If I ever was tempted to get more then one it would be that card!

Ditto. I love it. I am going to try and win it, but I am afraid shakingitup is going to outbid me. Where did he come from by the way?? Does anyone know him? I invited him to the site, but I don't know if he has registered.

jjt111 07-20-2007 12:08 AM

Did you see the above post about the sp significant card. I didn't want to change it on you but I'm sure I'm correct after a timely review of my books.

jjt111 07-20-2007 12:14 AM

I can't buy any cards for awhile. Freddie sent me so many it will take a week to insert them on my list and on the site. The good news is it should put me into the rare 3000 card rank!

To break your heart, I got my Sweet sig card from Dave and Adam card world for 12 bucks. But I'm sure I'll spend what I saved on that card by paying three times what the next card is worth:(

Gonzaleznut 07-20-2007 02:12 AM

Change it. That's fine with me.

Gonzaleznut 07-22-2007 08:59 PM

Look at this steal I just got on eBay.

Item number: 180141893832

jjt111 07-22-2007 09:17 PM

I hope that the new guy follows through with the auction as it is a great card and price.

Me too. For $12.50 it is worth the risk.

jzk_ksy 07-23-2007 04:06 PM

jjt111 07-24-2007 10:26 PM

With Nolan on it it won't be too cheap. But I'll bite at it.

Kyle ~ package mailed out today.

freddie 07-24-2007 10:54 PM

Definately, I had that card, bought it for $20 through eBay shops and sold it for $75

$75!!! To who??

Gonzaleznut 07-24-2007 10:58 PM

Here is one I really want:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...3272&rd=1&rd=1

jjt111 07-25-2007 12:28 AM

It's yours as far as I'm concerned. The last 1 of 1 went for around 85 which is in my opinion a good price. I understand that there is only one of them but in 2004 there are 25 1/1's and a couple 2/2's. Having one is a must but pick the one you like. I think it should have a value of low75 - high200.

On ebay, to someone who collects Nolan Ryan.

Then they are going to have to pay out the nose for it.

jjt111 07-25-2007 03:55 PM

That's the way! Go get em!:D;)

jjt111 07-28-2007 02:19 AM

There coming at you from across the sea. Looks like a tough night to go after a card.

jjt111 08-05-2007 08:52 PM

Why would a Doc Gooden collector go after this so hard? Roberto had a bid in that should of easly got him that card!
