Hey, wow been away for awhile and Alan shows up huh! Where you been Alan? Hadn't talked to you since the early 90s when we had that AOL Gonzo website. Glad to see your English Leather got a good home. I actually have that card also, it has a pen mark on it but I didn't care when I bought it... got it cheap on eBay 5 yrs ago!

I will post some pics of some of my rarest stuff on here in the next couple days!

I actually found this site because of you.
I googled myself and the post where you mentioned my name came up.
Then after a while I decided I should try and turn some of my old hobby into cash for stuff I need.
I'll be unhappy to part with some of it, but I haven't had my collection out so I could enjoy it for a long time.

yeah I understand... I have actually been buying game used memorabilia lately (more than cards). Since I was able to buy or trade for everything I needed pre97, and I'm not going after anything made after 96, it seemed to be the way to go.

Plus you can display the game used memorabilia and it looks really nice, and you can get them CHEAP. I picked up Juan's 1990 rookie jersey for $600 a couple months ago.

It's a shame we will never recoup the hundreds (in some of our cases, thousands) that we have spent on Gonzalez cards... Course I wasn't buying for future resale, but it still stinks!
