Beckett marketplace

Beckett sure changed since I was there last. It used to be hobbiest just trading or selling cards. Now it seems to be all stores. But I found a 1990 Donruss Aqueous Test card there for 12 bucks! That made me happy. Also found the 1995 Extra Bases Test card that I didn't even have on my list. Must of surfaced after Dan (2725)shared his list with me.
I'm sure you guys know the corners where everyone hides now a days but I've been out of the loop.

How much was this one?

I've bought cards listed as "Aqueous Test" before from Beckett, only to have it be the normal card when it arrives.

There are still hobbiest listing on Beckett, it is just a bit hard to get to them, at least as far as I've found out. Anyone have an easy way to get into Beckett buy/sell?

Beckett says about the Extra Bases Sample:
Quote:

Set Information
These cards, which measure 2 1/2" by 4 3/4" were samples for a never released (or distributed) card set. According to reports, the designer for these cards turned over his design and set concept to Fleer and then a test batch (believed to be between 50 and 60 sets) were created. These cards were believed to be returned to the card designer at that point when it was decided not to make a second year of Extra Bases cards.

I have found that Beckett is a great place to go and pick up a lot of commons on the cheap. It is also one of the only places you can go now and expect to find dozens of card that you need in one place. The only real negative are the prices. There are a lot of dealers who think very highly of their cards. You have to really shop around and be patient to get a good price on some cards.

That is where I got the Sweet Spot Glove for $30. It was listed at $48 but I emailed and offered $30.

Jonas - did the Aqueous card turn out to be the normal Donruss?
