1997 Masterpiece, Backdoor, counterfeit, fake, HELP
Good morning team Juangone.
I need your help. I recently bought the biggest or most expensive Juan card in my collecting career, 1997 Flair Showcase Legacy Row 1 Masterpiece. I bought off of Myslabs, fir $3,900 plus fees. I received the card yesterday, Thursday the 5th of Sep. Once I got the card I scanned it, but the BGS label was very crooked. I tapped the card upside down and the label centered itself better. I was curious of when it was graded by BGS, so I typed in the serial number and it came up as "No record found". My heart dropped. Oh shit, is this a fake, a counterfeit card, a replacement card, a backdoor copy? Anyway, I reached out to a few folks online, they pointed me to this Instagram user Grade these cards. He said he will help me track down some facts about the card. I guess because some of the cards from this set have had other 1 of 1 copies come up, Beckett stopped grading them at some point. The card I bought is the same one pictured on the Juangone site B19, Row 1, BGS 9.0 serial number 0007140794. Does anyone of you also own this card? Or have you owned it before? It shows on the site that Rob owned the B19 Row one at one point and it left his possession or he sold it back in 2010? Thanks in advance for any help you all can provide. John |
