Default Signature Quad 1/1

Well, I decided that I couldn't live without one nice 1/1 Juan, and I know I overpaid a little for this, so I have to show it off: 2004 Prime Cuts II Timeline Signature Material Quad.

Nice card but it's a shame they used that little tape auto instead of something he could get the whole thing on.

I have cards in my collection that I spend over $250 for so I'm sure it was worth what you paid. It's never too much once it's in house

Thanks for the replies! I bought it from Syndicate Sports Cards on Beckett, and I paid $150. I'm guessing that I overpaid because I saw that '04 LCM Fabric of the Game 1/1 sell for $110 not too long ago (and to a buyer that I didn't recognize as a Juan collector), but I really don't know. What have you guys seen similar cards go for? Either way, I am still really thrilled with the card.

Syndicate Sports Cards is a guy in Dallas close to me who acutally has quite a few really good cards on both beckett.com and ebay. He has them at pretty high prices.

Personally, I think you overpaid, but it is hard to place a value on a 1/1 and that is a quad/auto...especially when you don't have a 1/1 in your collection. I have 8 or 9 of them and I treasure each one. On the good side, you didn't overpay by much. That card in auction would go for probably $100-120.

My favorite 1/1s that I have are the four 2005 Diamond Kings press plates. I have put the scans in the list section.

Again...beautiful card. Good for you.

But are they the ones you enjoy having the most? I'm sure I have at least one or two 1 of 1's but they aren't in my top 5 keeper in my collection.

Mine are

1990 Procard Promo - at one time I had two and I only know of 3
1993 Donruss Elite Super Promo - only one I'm aware of
1998 Score All Score Team Gold - I'm sure they are out there ~ never seen another
1998 Crown Royale Cramer's Auto - there's 8 out there but with the owner of Pacific cards auto I'm sure they were given to special people - It's a great paper weight also!
1998 CS41 Stadium Club Co- Signers - it was hand signed by Juan and 3 others Clemens being a sure HOfer.

But I will say the last two on my list cost me much more then $150.

But I'd spend more then that today for a Juan Ted Williams auto.
