Dan had some questions about this picture so I will post it and let him explain the situation.

I do not know if you can see the difference in the scan. The graded card is much shinier (mirror like since it reflects) in the silver part than the regular card (appears dull like a coating of silver paint and not mirror like). Is this the certified mirror gold sample? If not, what is the difference in the mirror gold sample from the graded card?

The gold part is refractor like and reflects light like a star burst from the center.
The body looks like the 1997 Pinnacle totally certified platinum red card and not refractor like. The silver is very much like a clear mirror and does not refract. I can see an image of myself very clearly if I hold up the card close to my face. It would work good enough to use for shaving in an emergency. It looks to me like the 1997 Pinnacle totally certified platinum red card is more refractor in the silver and red than the sample card. |

The card I have must be the regular sample. I also have a 97 mirror gold and it also says mirror gold on the back.
