1997 Pinnacle Certified Mirror Black
I was reading through Baseballcardpedia.com the other day and I ran across some info on the 97 Pinnacle Certified Mirror Black 1 of 1 cards.
It listed the known copies and Juan was listed. Wondering if any of you have any info on it, eber seen it, or if one of you own it. Cool story, John |

There is a guy on freedomcardboard.Com that he states he has one. Kevin and I both asked him to post a pic of it so we could put it on this site. That was years ago.
He would never respond to our request. I think he was full of shit! he goes by the name of George_Calfas Scroll down there is a scan of one. But not a Juan. Click on the pic. It is a Jeter. https://www.freedomcardboard.com/for...9#post-2594615 Last edited by nosterbor; 08-27-2024 at 10:54 PM. Reason: more |

He also claims to have 6 full sets of the 1996 Pinnacle First z pitch Previews and most Juan collectors don?t think it exists. I?ve asked at least a dozen times for a photo of it. Like Rob says.. No response!!

That card is so confusing that whoever has it probably thinks it's a base.
I might even have it and I don't know it. |

OK, story time. I started card collecting in 1990, while stationed in Crete , Greece, I was in the Air Force. Eating cereal, Post was putting baseball cards in cereal boxes.
Anyways, I found out one of my coworkers collected baseball cards too. He and I bought some 1990 or 1991 Upper Deck boxes through the mail. One night I was at his house looking at his cards in binders. That year Upper Deck had a Reggie Jackson insert seat that he was trying to complete. He had them in a binder, I while looking them over the facsimile auto of Reggie looked different to me on one of the cards. And it had numbering on the front below the signature. I was so new to the hobby, but I figured out this was a real Autograph. He didn't believe me, even over the new ten minutes of me trying to convince him. So I said, OK, I will buy this card for a $1. Now he believed me. Cool story for me. |
